Stevie Adkins, age 60, passed away on September 03, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. There will be an open visitation for Stevie at the Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN on Wednesday September 7th from 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m. Graveside services will be held at Mallory United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thomasville, TN on Thursday September 8th at 10:00a.m. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. Stevie is survived by his brother, Robert Doyle Adkins of Thomasville, TN, his sister, Laverna Long of Bristol, TN and his loving family who cared for him at his home in Columbia, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Phillip Perkins Adkins and Lorene Justice Adkins, and by his devoted aunt, Eppie Hunter, a sister Shirley Adkins, and brothers Gerald Adkins and Ronnie Ferrion Adkins. Stevie grew up in Thomasville, TN. He graced us with his songs and his smiles and his witness for Christ by reciting for us and reminding us that "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
