Henry J. Williams

December 6, 1931 - March 3, 2013

Mr. Henry J. Williams, age 81, and a resident of Antioch, TN passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Williams' family will conduct private services to celebrate his life. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. Henry was born December 6, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri and was the son of Henry Wililams and Ollie Mae Sanders Williams. He was a truck driver by profession and served his country in the United States Army. He had a passion for boating and being on the water. If not there, he could be found piloting his own airplane or skydiving from others. When on solid ground, he loved jazz music and looking fine in his clothing. He also owned several antique cars in which he was proud. He always looked good when he went out. Henry is best described as a "man with no fear." He lived life on his own terms and with his own brand of personal faith. His words of wisdom will be long remembered by his family, "A man afraid of dying has never lived." Henry faced death without fear and entered into rest with his family at his side, and at peace with the world. Those left to mourn his passing, and celebrate his life, are a daughter: Sandra Lewis; a son: Rod Williams; and a sister: Rosmond (Luther) Tyler, all of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: DeNina Lewis, Rod Williams Jr, Todd Williams Jr, Torrance Williams, Terrell Williams, and Teonna Williams; several great-granchildren; and best friend, Winston "Winnie" Dillard. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Ollie Mae Sanders Williams; a son: Todd Williams; 4 brothers: John, Frederick, Michael, and Oliver Williams; and a sister: Madaline Elliott. You may share condolences with the family at the top of this page.
