William Moyers

November 4, 1939 - March 3, 2013

Mr. William C. Moyers, age 73, husband of Darlene Johnson Moyers, and a resident of Clifton, TN, passed away Sunday morning, March 3, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. William was born on November 4, 1939 in Gladstone, Illinois and was the son of the late Robert and Myrtle Moyers. His wife and children described him as being a family oriented man who enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting and had a great sense of humor. He never met a stranger, and along with telling jokes, he also loved sharing stories with others. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons: William Moyers, Patrick (Annjanette) Moyers, Sr., Travis (Crystal) Johnson, Robert (Heather) Moyers; six daughters: Denise Moyers, Sherry (Mike) Greenlief, Jackie (Sean) Richardson, Angie (Enrique) Lara, Tonya (John) Hobbs, Leanna (Jerry) Smith; brother, Glenn Moyers; sisters: Mary Moyers, Cathy Waterman; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Charlie and Anthony Moyers; brothers: Chuck, Hap, Robert, and Harry Brockett; and sisters: Ruby Norton and Ethel Huss.
