Aura Argentina Oskian

September 13, 1959 - May 10, 2012

Aura Argentina Oskian, wife of Manasel (Mike) Oskian, and a resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at her residence. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Father Davis Chackaleckel officiating. Interment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Monday May 14, 2012 from 4:00-7:00 at Heritage Funeral Home as well as Tuesday from 1:00 until the service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Antigua Guatemala, Aura worked as a teachers aide at Riverside Elementary School. She enjoyed helping people, especially children, and acted as a translator for the Maury County School System. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother: Josefina Farfan Lemus; two sons: Aharon (Sarah) Oskian and Stephan Oskian of Columbia; two daughters: Katinna (Jim) Rains of Murfreesboro and Annoula Oskian of Columbia; six brothers: Freddy Lemus, Oscar Lemus, Carlos Lemus, Tono Lemus, Edwin Lemus, and Hugo Lemus; and two sisters: Nohelia Lemus and Lily Lemus. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Isabella Rai Oskian and Elaina Aura Oskian; mother-in-law: Annoula Oskian; and father-in-law: Aharon Oskian. She is preceded in death by her father, Fidel Lemus and her sister, Elizabeth Lemus. Pallbearers will be Aharon Oskian, Stephan Oskian, Jim Rains, Andrew Ackley, Alex Slagle, and Jesse Anderson.
