Raul "Roy" Felan

April 6, 1944 - November 3, 2012

Mr. Raul Roy Felan, age 68, of Columbia passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 6:00 PM from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM for visitation. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements. After his baptism and dedication as one of the Jehovahs Witnesses, Roy spent the remainder of his life teaching the truth of Gods word, The Bible, to others. His heart moved him to lovingly assist all those he came into contact with, so that they would understand the good news about Gods Kingdom. He was eager to provide spiritual guidance and counsel to everyone around him. His heartfelt prayers were uplifting and touched the hearts of all who heard them. Having no children of his own, Roy had a special place in his heart for young ones, whether they were related to him or not. He was always reaching out to guide and teach them about Jehovahs love for them. The training he provided for so many moved some to accept the truth from the Bible. Many changed their lives and became ministers of Jehovah. Some even became full- time Pioneer Ministers. For him, nothing was too much for the people he loved. He strived to meet every need and desire of his beloved wife, Brenda. She experienced this love from the day they met. He will sorely be missed by her and remembered by all as a loving and caring husband, father, brother, and papa. Roy is survived by his wife: Brenda Felan of Columbia; a son: Bobby Ray Bailey Jr of Columbia; daughter: Lisa Kay (Joey) Brown of Jacksonville, FL; brother: Larry of Fayette, AL; and three sisters: Trini of Fayette, AL; Mary of TX, and Connie. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Amanda Brown (Shervon) Fisher and Mitchell William Brown; and many nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
