Eddie Wayne Dugger

June 27, 1948 - February 6, 2014

Eddie Wayne Dugger, 65, passed away on February 6, 2014 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 9th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Shires Cemetery with full military honors provided by the US Navy. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, February 8th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia. Eddie Wayne was a native of Maury County, a 1966 graduate of Hay Long High School and served proudly in the Seabees, a unit of the U.S. Navy. His military service included two tours in Vietnam. On Valentines Day 1980 Eddie married the love of his life, Teresa Dugger. His passing occurred days before their 34th anniversary. In addition to his loving wife: Teresa Diane Dugger of Columbia; he is survived by his daughter: Shelley Murphy of Murfreesboro; his brother: Tommy Dugger of Franklin; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Elizabeth Dugger; and his son: Eddie Wayne Dugger, Jr. Family requests memorial donations are made to the: American Cancer Society, Care of: Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
