Arlene Louise Clark

Mrs. Arlene L. Clark, age 85 of Columbia, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013 at her residence at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Mrs. Clark will be laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Shamokin, PA at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mrs. Clark was born May 2, 1928 in Shamokin, PA and was the daughter of John and Mary Deitman Latshaw. Arlene retired from General Motors and moved to Tennessee in 2000. She was married to George Clark, who preceded her in death in June of 1994. Arlene was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed going to Atlantic City to gamble. Between trips, she would play the lottery. Other activities she enjoyed were bird watching and cooking. While living at Morning Pointe she could always be seen crocheting hats and scarves for the residences. Above all, though, she will be remembered as a woman with a big heart who loved her family. She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by her precious family. She is survived by her daughter: Kathy Pollock of Mt. Pleasant; a sister: Mariel Kurtz of Shamokin, PA; two grandchildren: Daniel Roman and Katie Lounsberry; and 5 great-grandchildren: Ty, Bailey and Riley Lounsberry, and Jacob and Benjamin Roman.
