Walter Edward Cross, Jr.

February 20, 1945 - December 29, 2013

Walter Edward Cross, Jr., age 68 of Spring Hill, TN, passed away Sunday morning, December 29, 2013 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin. Memorial services will be conducted Friday at 6:00 PM at the First Christian Church in Wellsville, OH. The family will visit with friends from 4:30 until the service hour, at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Walter was born February 20, 1945 in East Liverpool, OH and was the son of Walter Edward Cross, Sr. and Etta Echols Cross. He spent 38 years on the railroad and retired as an engineer. Walters faith was exhibited through his passion for his family, especially his grandchildren. In their eyes, he could fix anything. Even when he was playing with his vintage cars, his attention would easily be redirected to his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Deborah Burrows Cross; son: Eric Cross; daughter: Sharma Carter; two brothers: Frank Cross and Charles Cross; two sisters: Patty Sherman and Donna Yergin; and 5 grandchildren: Kalee Cross, Kadin Cross, Emma Carter, Hannah Carter and William Carter.
