Shelia S. McFarland

Ms. Shelia S. McFarland, age 55, and a resident of Woodmont Drive in Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. Funeral Services for Ms. McFarland will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Jacob officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and then again on Thursday from 11 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. A native of Maury County, Sheila was the daughter of Tom McFarland the late Minnie Ezelma (Stewart) McFarland. She was a graduate with the class of 1974 at Central High School in Columbia. She was a member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. Sheila was a gifted writer whose poems will continue to be a blessing to her family and friends. She also loved to draw, but her true love was found in her sons and her grandchildren. Sheilas love will continue in the hearts of her family as they hold dear their beautiful memories of her. In addition to her father, she left behind to cherish her memory her twin sons: Shayne (Delania) McFarland and Jody McFarland both of Columbia, TN; her brother, Claudie (Barbara) Stewart of Columbia, TN; her sister, Sandra Jean (Walter, Jr.) Farmer of Madison, TN; four grandchildren: Kayleigh McFarland, Jenna McFarland, Rylan McFarland, and Klarissa McFarland; several nieces and nephews; her at home nurses with Health Services Staff of Summertown, TN: Jill Garland McDonald, Shirley Garland, Candice Runions, Amanda Downs, Jennifer Stutts, Ann Bunch, and Ashley Arnold. Pallbearers will include: Brad McCain, Corey Prince, Todd Bolton, Jeff Howard, Walter Farmer, and Travis Thaxton.
