William E. Dale

April 10, 1943 - January 28, 2011

Mr. William E. Dale, age 67, husband of Bonnie Dale, and a resident of Cedar Creek Road in Lewisburg, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services for Mr. Dale will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Interment will follow in the Morton Cemetery on Arthur Sampson Road in Maury County, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A native of Hampshire, Tennessee, Mr. Dale was the son of the late Joe Irwin Dale and the late Louise Whitaker Dale. Although he was a truck driver for a season, he spent the majority of his career working as a sewing machine mechanic. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Columbia. He always enjoyed planting a garden and tending to it as it grew. He loved to work on race cars and also enjoyed spending time fishing; but his primary joy in life was found in spending time with his family; and with his grandchildren in particular. When his daughter was asked to describe her father, she quickly responded with a huge smile on her face, He was fun! In addition to his wife, he left behind to cherish his memory two children: Kim Dale of Spring Hill, TN and William Eddie (Susie) Dale, Jr. of Lewisburg, TN; two granddaughters: Shelly Ross of Marysville, MI, and Cheyenne Dale of Spring Hill, TN; one grandson, Justin William Dale of Lewisburg, TN; three brothers: Joe Dale, Charles Toe Head (Cathy) Dale of Williamsport, TN, and Millard Round Man Dale of Hampshire, TN; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will include: Pat McCandless, Tracy Smith, Chris McCandless, Josh Smith, Michael Chumbley, and Dustin McCandless. The family would like to acknowledge the following honorary guests: Northside Baptist Church Members, Butch Eades, Tommy Littleton, Mike Maybry, Robert McAdams, David Littleton, Aubrey Strut Davis, Roy Wilheite, and Billy Poteete. Memorials may be made to Monroe Carell, Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt, 2200 Childrens Way, Nashville, TN 37232 or Northside Baptist Church Building Fund.
