Faunetta Hamilton, age 77, a resident of Cliff White Road in Columbia, passed away Monday morning, January 13, 2014 at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Ligon, Kentucky on March 22, 1936, Faunetta was the daughter of the late Walter and Roxie Slone Booth. She was a house wife and homemaker for the majority of her life, and she was a past Matron of the Eastern Star in Michigan. She loved her family, and often took care of the kids in the family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters: Joetta (Bobby) Hurley of Columbia, Pamela Melendez of Columbia, Lisha Stewart of Columbia; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Hamilton; son: Paul Hamilton; brothers: Howard Booth, Gene Booth, Willis Booth, Ed Booth, Marvin Booth, Clarence Booth; and sister Beatrice Horn. Pallbearers will be Tracetin Hurley, Tyler Collins, Donald Stewart, Layton Stewart, Christian Melendez, Shawn Rochester, and Donald Stoner. Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
