Leslie Raymond Ellis

June 7, 1937 - January 14, 2011

Mr. Leslie Raymond Ellis, age 73, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 14, 2011. A memorial service for Mr. Ellis will be held on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 6:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Unger officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Ellis, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, was the son of the late Willie Raymond Ellis and the late Mira Jewell Holt. During his career, he worked in sales for L & C Insurance Company and was also in automotive sales. In addition, he had also worked with Brown & Bigelow. Mr. Ellis served faithfully as the associate pastor of The Lords House. Mr. Elliss outgoing personality was such a blessing to all of those who had the opportunity of meeting him. One of the things that brought him joy was doing for others. He was often involved with benefits to help those in need and he truly had a Shepherds heart. He was instrumental in the founding of his church, The Lords House and he was very involved with the ministry there. At the top of his list for things to do wasgoing to gospel singings. And now, Im sure hes sitting in heaven listening to the heavenly choir and enjoying the presence of the Lord. He left to cherish his memory his two daughters: Angela (Stacy) Holmes of Nashville, TN, and Nicole (MiGuel) Maldanado of Mt. Holly, NJ; one son, Dustin Ellis of Nashville, TN; one brother, Bill (Maritza) Ellis of West Palm Beach, FL; his former wife, Eunice Ellis of Mt. Pleasant, TN, several grandchildren, one nephew; Christopher Ellis of Miami, FL; and a host of friends and acquaintances.
