Barbara Yvonne Morris, age 77, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at NHC Columbia. Funeral Services for Barbara will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Darren Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in the Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and is assisting the family. A native of Huttig, Arkansas, Barbara was the daughter of the late Roy Burns Fullerton and the late Maywood Hughes. She was a member of the Methodist Church and also ministered as pianist in numerous Baptist churches. Most of her early career she worked at Ernests Supper Club in Shreveport, Louisiana. After relocating with her family to Tennessee, Barbara worked for Vanderbilt University Medical Center Telecommunications until she retired to be with her family in Columbia. She loved her family and her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her loving and caring ways will truly be missed by all of her family and all of those who knew her. Barbara is cherished and will be missed by her siblings: Glenda Hullinghorst of Baton Rouge, LA; Andre (Alice) Fullerton of Fredericksburg, TX; and Ricky (Sharon) Fullerton of Shreveport, LA. her children: Chuck (Fannie) Morris of Columbia, TN, Mike (Kim) Morris of Maryville, TN, and Pam (Pat) Jacobs of Spring Hill, TN; seven grandchildren: Michael (Tina) Morris of Raleigh, NC; Katie (Dave) Clark of Annapolis, MD; Jesse Roy Morris of Columbia, TN; Jason (Chasity) Jacobs of Columbia, TN; Jamie (Juan) Salcedo of Columbia, TN; Patrick (Belinda) Jacobs, Jr. of Austin, TX; Ashley Stanley of Columbia, TN; Jessica (Wade) Kincaid of Columbia, TN; and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Ronnie and Lamar Fullerton. Pallbearers will include her grandsons: Michael Morris, Jesse Morris, and Jason Jacobs; grandsons-in-law: Juan Salcedo and Wade Kincaid, and great nephew, Thad Giddens. Honorary pallbearers will include nephews, Les Carpenter and Randall Carpenter. Honorary guests are Mr. Marvin Bailey, Mr. Don Kincaid and Mr. Bill Ammons.
