Irene M. McSpadin

January 26, 1924 - December 29, 2010

Mrs. Irene M. McSpadin, age 86, widow of Earl Lee McSpadin and a resident of Nathan Drive in Columbia, Tennessee, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 with her daughters by her side. A private memorial service and burial will take place at a later date in Omar, Michigan. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Rev. Georgina Bearden will offer a time of reflection and prayer during the family visitation. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and is assisting the family. A native of Oakland County, Michigan, Mrs. McSpadin was the daughter of the late Thomas Littlefair and the late Doris Clark. She worked for many years in the Seafood Department at Meijer Super Center. When she could find the time, Mrs. McSpadin loved to bowl. But most importantly, her family fondly recalls her loving and caring nature. She truly loved her family and was what you would say, an all around good person . She will truly be missed by her loving family. Mrs. McSpadin left to cherish her memory four daughters: Donna (David) McConnell of Columbia, TN, Jean Vanderploeg of Imlay City, MI, Janet (Tim) Adams of Rochester Hills, MI, and Barbara (Wayne) Yeager of Davisburg, MI; two sons: Larry (Darla) McSpadin of Hershey, MI and Michael (Julie) McSpadin of St. Clair, MI; eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McSpadin was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Pritchard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice Compassus 1412 Trotwood Avenue #5, Columbia, TN 38401.
