Judy B. DeMoss

Judy DeMoss, 68, resident of Springfield TN and former resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. A celebration of her life will be held at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 3:00 Friday, December 6, 2013. A private inurnment will be held at Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born December 29, 1944 in Murray, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alex W. and Audrey Bonds. Mrs. DeMoss worked in many capacities, but mainly as a buyer for Clements/Meade/International Paper Company. She is survived by her husband Ernest Major DeMoss, Jr., sons: Scott (Jennifer) McWhirter of Bell Buckle, Troy (Amanda) Hunter of Springfield; stepsons: Ernest (Lori) DeMoss of Pleasant View, Wayne (Dannette) DeMoss of Columbia; sister: Nina Bonds of Knoxville; grandchildren: Elizabeth DeMoss, Mollie Grace DeMoss, Promise McWhirter, Chloe Hunter, Billy and Brandon Stallings; niece: Ashley (Michael) Steele and their children, Gavin and Greyson, of Knoxville.
