Doris Marie Weber

March 2, 1936 - December 1, 2010

Mrs. Doris Marie Weber, age 74, wife of James Weber of Claremont Drive in Columbia passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM with J.C. Christian Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 8:30 AM until the funeral hour on Monday, December 6th at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Weber was born in Windsor Ontario Canada and is the daughter of the late Germaine Gagnon (mother) and the late Eli Liberty (father). She was a Deli Manager for Great Scott. Mrs. Weber was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and just simply enjoyed life. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a part of the YMCA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons; Jimmy (Sue) Black of Columbia, TN and Jerry (Bonnie) Black of Onsted, MI; two brothers; Richard (Margaret) Liberty of Flat Rock, MI and Eugene (Betty) Liberty of Lincoln Park, MI; a twin sister, Doreen (Raymond) Chester of Canton, MI and three other sisters, June (Charles) Brown of Lincoln Park, MI, Marie (Gordon) Gatton of Lynn Haven, FL, and Virginia (James) McCune of Lincoln Park, MI; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Josh) Jeans of Nashville, TN and Missy of Texas; four grandsons: Jason, Aaron, Brendan & Adam Black all of Michigan and one great-grandson, Brody Jeans of Nashville, TN. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a step brother, Raymond (Marie) Liberty of Ontario, Canada. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.heritage-fhcs.com
