Elaine A. Owen, age 85, a resident of Poplar Estates Assistant Living in Columbia, TN passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center, October 16, 2010. She is the daughter of the late George Eckrich and the late Edna Coutley Eckrich A Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Cox officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends on Monday, October 18, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of arrangements. She was born in Neenah Menasha, Wisconsin and attended Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois and became a Registered Nurse. Prior to moving to Poplar Estates, she was a resident of Albany, GA for 42 years. Her joys were her children, grandchildren, and her nursing career. She loved nursing others when she was able to do so. She left to cherish her memory two sons: David Owen of Dalton, GA, and Tim Owen of Albany, GA; three daughters: Nancy (Randy) Davidson of Columbia, TN, Patty (Eddie) Truluck of Albany, GA, Janet (Dale) Richmond of Warner Robins, GA; three granddaughters: Kristen Cumbie, Shabahn (Brad) Massey, and Amanda (Bryan) Sheets; and five grandsons: Brandon (Brooke) Kierce, Andy (Allison) Owen, Kyler Richmond, Jonathan Richmond, and Lake Owen; and two great grandchildren Karli and Kendall Massey; and one sister, Mary Ann (Dan) Tuchscherer of Oshkosh, WI; and several nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
