Louis J. Campochiaro, age 69, loving husband of Carolyn Campochiaro and a resident of Knox Court in Columbia, TN passed away with his family by his side at Maury Regional Medical Center, October 16, 2010. Funeral Services for Mr. Campochiaro will be conducted on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 4:00 " 6:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. A native of Kingston, New York, Mr. Campochiaro was the son of the late Louis Campochiaro Sr. and the late Sarah Ann Barton. Mr. Campochiaro was retired from Ideal Bread Company in Hot Springs, Arkansas as a sales manager, and Shell Oil, Inc. He was a member St. Pauls Catholic Church in Troy, New York. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. His passions were many; in addition to being a devoted family man; he loved dancing, bowling, yard sales, and auctions. He was a football fan, particularly, The Dallas Cowboys. He loved reading Louis LAmour books and loved his dog, Suzy. In addition to his wife, Carolyn Campochiaro, Mr. Campochiaro left to cherish his memory, three daughters; Linda (Phil) Martz of Columbia, TN, Mary (Steve) Campochiaro Elrod of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Teresa (Jim) Campochiaro Garner of Thompson Station, TN; three sons; John (Pia) Campochiaro of Gershiem, Germany, Louis Campochiaro III of Santa Fe, TN, and Stephen (Fianc Lacie Thornhill) Campochiaro of Columbia, TN. Former daughter-in-law, Sophia Ward of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother & sister-in-law, Lila & Charles McLaughlin of Columbia, TN; John David Vickery, brother-in-law of Waynesboro, TN. Twelve granddaughter, Six grandsons, and three great grandchildren. In additional to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Michael Campochiaro, two uncles; Peter Campochiaro & Frank Campochiaro along with two aunts, Helen & Jean Campochiaro. Pallbearers will be Alan Campochiaro, Jeffrey Miles, Louis Campochiaro III, Colton Garner, Stephen Campochiaro, and Tyler Bailey. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Joseph Campochiaro, Employees of Ideal Bread co. in Hot Springs, AR, and Employees of Parks Motor Sales in Columbia.
