He was an ordained minister and served as an evangelist for more than 50 years. Most of his friends knew him as Happy Jack . For those who wonder why he would have such a nickname, it was simply because of his joyful, happy personality. In addition to preaching, he was also a talented singer. During his life he recorded two albums and traveled preaching and singing to many about his love for the Lord. His outgoing personality led him to a love for buying and selling cars in which he found great fulfillment and success, but once again, nothing could compare to his genuine love for the Lord. Bro. Rampley left to cherish his memory: daughter, Betty Ann (Jimmy) Sloan of Columbia, TN; sons, Steve Rampley and Gary Rampley of Valdosta, GA and Roger Rampley of Merritt Island, FL; grandchildren, Betty Alice Rampley Brown, Jenny Kirkland, Christy Leann Sloan, Stephanie Rampley, Jessica Marie Sloan, Luke Rampley, Christopher Rampley and James Clifton Sloan; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Pitts of Valdosta, GA and Voncile Greene of Adel, GA.He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sims Rampley.
