Ms. Deysi Pardo Robbins, age 63, a resident of North Hardin Drive in Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, December 09, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She departed this life with her family by her side. A private family mass will be held by her loved ones at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements. Deysi was a native of Havana, Cuba and was the daughter of Gregorio and Hilda Pardo of Ocklawaha, Florida and she was of the Catholic faith. She performed numerous jobs throughout her life and had recently taken a retirement. On May 1, 1975 Deysi saw a dream fulfilled when she became a United States Citizen. This accomplishment was one that brought her great pride and joy. She would often tell her family, I probably know more about the United States history than most of the citizens who were born here. In addition to her love for America, her love and devotion for her family was her main focus in life. She enjoyed reading, and in her earlier years was an avid gardener. She also found fulfillment in traveling, but nothing could compare to spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Ms. Robbins left behind to cherish her memory two children: Michele (Thomas) Craig of Columbia, TN, and Richard Michael Carpenter of Adamsville, TN; one sister, Ana Pardo of Orlando, FL; and one brother Richard (Laura) Pardo of LeHigh Acres, FL; two granddaughters: Cassie Marie Craig and Tiffani Renee Carpenter both of Columbia, TN; two grandsons, Joshua Daniel Craig of Columbia, TN and Dylan Carpenter of Arkansas; and the pride of her life her new great grandson, John Henry Pool V of Columbia, TN. She will also be greatly missed by her three dogs that she truly loved. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.heritage-fhcs.com.
