Barbara Cohea, age 62, wife of Richard Cohea and a long time resident of Rainey Street in Columbia, Tennessee, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 following an extended illness. She was at her home and surrounded by her loving family. The family of Mrs. Cohea will have a private time of celebration and remembrance of her life at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, llc is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. A native of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Cohea was the daughter of the late Roy W. Roseboro and the late Louise Walton. She retired from Dana Corporation following 32 years of faithful service; transferring to Columbia from Ft. Wayne, Indiana after 17 years there with the corporation. In addition to being a devoted mother to her two children, she was also known for being a mother to everyone. Among her many talents and interests, Mrs. Cohea loved to paint and enjoyed bowling. The real joy of her life, however, was when she was playing with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cohea left behind to cherish her memory two children: OLisa Cohea and Michael Cohea, both of Columbia, TN; five grandchildren: Allison Smith of Ft. Wayne IN, Patrick Cohea of Altamont, FL, Christian Houston of Columbia, TN, Alexia Maple of Columbia, TN, and Branson Houston of Columbia, TN.
