Mrs. Dortha Louise Grace NeSmith,88, of Columbia and formerly of Townley, Alabama died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. NeSmith will be conducted Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the Townley Church of God with Pastor John Taggart officiating. Burial will be in the Guthrie Cemetery. Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper, Alabama was in charge of services. Heritage Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. "We knew little that day God was going to call you home, in life we loved you dearly in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you; you did not go alone for a part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories; your love is still our guide. Although we cannot see you, you are always at our side. We will think about you every day and miss your smiling face but we know without a doubt you are in a better place." your loving Grandchildren. Mrs. NeSmith was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elbert "Jake" NeSmith; a loving son, Milford Franklin NeSmith; two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Wilson NeSmith and wife LeAnne Myers NeSmith; grandchildren, Ronnie (Meagan) NeSmith and Michael Jacob NeSmith.
