Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Coffey Richardson, 91, a long-time resident of the Mooresville Community, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Gallatin, Tennessee. Funeral Services for Mrs. Richardson will be conducted on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Greg McCoy and Rev. Clark Albright officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery in the Mooresville Community. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Maury County, she is the daughter of the late Joseph Gregg and Belle Wheeler Coffey. She was married to Brenard Richardson, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Richardson was a homemaker and a bookkeeper. She was very devoted to the activities of her family. Mrs. Richardson enjoyed cooking, canning, and sewing. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Culleoka Community, and her church work was her life. Mrs. Richardson is survived by her children; a daughter, Janice (Loyd) Thomason of Gallatin, and Paul G. Bud (Sandra) Richardson of Mooresville; six grandchildren, granddaughters, Tonya (Joe) Courier of Lewisburg, Kacey Shaddy of Cornersville, and Shannon (Larry) McGlothlin of Valdosta, GA; grandsons, Jared Richardson and Adam Richardson, both of Mooresville, and Chase Thomason of Gallatin; four great grandchildren, John Ryan Lowe, Brandon Lowe, McKinley Richardson, and Holden McGlothlin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Madison Coffey. Pallbearers will be Jared Richardson, Adam Richardson, Chase Thomason, Larry McGlothlin, Joe Courier, Dan Shannon, Floyd Richardson, and Holden McGlothlin. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Ryan Lowe and Brandon Lowe. Memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Library, 2479 Culleoka Highway, Culleoka, TN 38451.
