Dr. Mary Ann Abrenillo Edgin, 48, of Columbia, Tennessee, on March 29, 2010, went to be with her Lord and Savior, after peacefully passing away at Williamson Medical Center following a courageous fight with ovarian cancer. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, April 3, 2010, from 5:00 " 9:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, Tennessee. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia, Tennessee with Father Davis Chackaleckel officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Social Hall. Her cremains will be returned to her loving family in the Philippines for an inurnment at a later date in Davao City, Philippines. Dr. Edgin was born December 18, 1961 in Placer, Surigno Del Norte, Philippines to Numeriano and Melecia D. Abrenillo. Mary Ann was a devoted Catholic and loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She was an active member of St. Catherine Catholic Church, a member of the 8:00 a.m. Choir, and a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Mary Ann has always remained faithfully committed to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She used all her knowledge and talents to help anyone that needed her services. As a Doctor of Medicine in the Philippines, she worked in several community projects to help the poor have medical care. Later, she worked for the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation. Since coming to the United States in 2000, she has been employed by Davita Healthcare in Columbia, Tennessee, as a Patient Care Technician, Certified Hemodialysis Technologist, and an Administrative Assistant. Her Christian life has been devoted to helping her fellowman. She was proud to be a United States Citizen, one of her greatest accomplishments was being naturalized as a United States Citizen on August 27, 2008. She was former Vice-President of Maury County Philippine-American Society and a member of the American Registry of Medical Assistants. Mary Ann was devoted to her two loving dogs, Tala and Pearl. She loved Titans football and UT Ladies Basketball. Dr. Edgin is survived by her devoted husband of 10 years, Patrick J. Edgin, her mother, Melecia D. Abrenillo; sisters, Liberty Arbizo, Merites Salazar, Annabelle Salazar, and several other sisters; niece, Ellen Nichols of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and several other relatives in the Philippines. She was preceded in death by her father, Numeriano Abrenillo. Honorary Guests will be Jeff OBrien, Johnny Voorhries, Father Clair Hendricks, Brian Lobo, Fidel Pinote, Al Hernadez, Sue Di Capua, Mauriel Attkinson, Ted Malacad, Phil Stack, Pat Renfro and staff of Davita Healthcare, Dr. Philip Harrelson, Dr. Sue Ellen Lee and staff, and all choir members of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
