Mr. Clarence Eugene Fitzgerald, 71, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at his residence on the Sowell Mill Pike. A memorial service for Mr. Fitzgerald will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Antioch Church of Christ with Kevin Hardison officiating. A private family inurnment service will be held at Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late John Alexander and Maggie Lee Agent Fitzgerald. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Hellmoteller Fitzgerald. Mr. Fitzgerald spent his life working as a farmer. He was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Fitzgerald and Shirley (Shane) Moody both of Columbia, TN; his sons, Bobby (Donna) Fitzgerald and Roy Fitzgerald both of Columbia,TN; granddaughters, Shanna Moody and Melina Cozart both of Columbia,TN; grandsons, Danny (Christin) Anglin, Shane Culberson, Keith and Stephen Culberson, Josiah and Isaiah Fitzgerald all of Columbia,TN; great-grandsons, Peyton Culberson and Jonathan T. Culberson both of Columbia, TN; a sister, Frances Woodard of Columbia,TN. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Fitzgerald. Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Hall, Sammy Spires, Danny Anglin, Shane Culberson, Keith Culberson, Randall Spires, Gary Spires, Randy Collins, and Jonathan Redd.
