Mr. John Steven Pascovich, 67, formerly of Sacramento, California, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at his residence on West 1st Avenue in Hohenwald. The funeral mass for Mr. Pascovich will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pulaski. Inurnment will follow at the church. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Sacramento, California, he was the son of the late John Steven Pascovich and the late Georgiann Gibson Pascovich. He was married for 42 years to Mary Josephine Johnson Pascovich of Hohenwald. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam and served in the California National Guard. He was a retired drag racer and boat mechanic at Cooks Marine in Sacramento, California. He was a former owner and driver of Predator Racing where he raced cars and boats for many years. He was a member of the National Hot Rod Association and enjoyed building model airplanes, boats, and old Mopars. Mr. Pascovich also enjoyed hunting, fishing, Cajun music and loved the city of New Orleans. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Pulaski. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Nicole Pascovich of Hohenwald and Victoria Aguilar of Minor Hill; son-in-law, Anthony Aguilar of Minor Hill; granddaughters, Amanda Aguilar, Angela Aguilar , Ana-Lucia Aguilar, and Allison Aguilar, all of Minor Hill; grandsons, Alberto Aguilar of Minor Hill and Richard Steven Pascovich Smithson of Hohenwald. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, George Pascovich. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 2405 Parman Place, Nashville, Tennessee, 37203.
