Mary Lou Childress Osborne, 75, a resident of Campbell Station Road in the Culleoka community, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral Services for Mrs. Osborne will be conducted on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Alexander officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday, October 23, 2009 from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A native of Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ella Howell Childress. She was married to the late Robert Hazel Osborne who passed away in 1976. Mrs. Osborne loved flowers, baseball, softball, basketball, and was an Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoyed watching team roping and any activities her children and grandchildren were involved in. Mrs. Osborne was a homemaker, farmer, a great cook, and an avid Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of Campbell Station Church of Christ. Mrs. Osborne is survived by her children, Thelma ( Larry) Boatright of Campbell Station, Arlene (Richie) Benefield of Culleoka, Lewis (Lisa) Osborne of Campbell Station, and Ted (Lori) Osborne of Lewisburg; eleven grandchildren, Blake Osborne, Mary Katherine Osborne, Justice Osborne, Robbie Boatright, Jerad (Katherine) Osborne, Jessica Osborne, Caleb Benefield, Wesley Benefield, Kayla Osborne, Hunter Osborne, and Logan Osborne; nine great grandchildren; two special friends, Dot McMillan and Terri Roland. She was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Osborne and a grandson, Marcus Osborne. Pallbearers will be Blake Osborne, Robbie Boatright, Jerad Osborne, Caleb Benefield, Hunter Osborne, Logan Osborne, Don Osborne and Mark Gonzonlez. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Life Care Center of Columbia and members of Campbell Station Church of Christ. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.heritage-fhcs.com.
