Mr. Smith Smitty Ingram, age 64, husband of Annette Ingram and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at his residence on West 10th Street. A Memorial Service for Mr. Ingram will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 2 PM at Highland Park Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Adair officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and assisting the family. A native of Maury County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Sam T. Ingram and the late Gladys "Brown" Ingram. He attended school in Culleoka, Tennessee. He was self employed as a skilled carpenter. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He was a gifted musician and was well known and loved by his fans. Playing music with his children and friends brought him the greatest joy in life. His kind and generous heart caused many to love and admire him. He would reach out to strangers as well as family and friends with his giving spirit and listening ear. His kind smile and ready anecdotes will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Heaven is a little brighter today as he sings with the angels. In addition to his loving wife Annette, he left behind to cherish his memory two sons: Warren Thomas (Jodi) Ingram and Samuel Jason "Jay" Ingram both of Culleoka, TN; his daughter, Kara Smith Ingram (Christopher) Bishop of Columbia, TN and six grandchildren: Samuel Justin Ingram, Jace Logan Ingram, Owen Ezel Bishop, Isaiah Cole Bishop, Morgan Shantel Bishop and Samantha Jayne Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Carol Ingram.
