William E. Glynn

February 4, 1920 - February 26, 2012

Mr. William E. Glynn, Sr, age 92 of Petersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his residence. The family will conduct private services in honor of Mr. Glynn's life. At a later date his remains will be interred in the Nashville National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army, under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home-Columbia. Born in Manhattan, New York, NY, he was the only child of the late Thomas and Mary O'Brien Glynn. He served his country during WWII in the United States Army, and was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Glynn worked as a computer programmer with United Space Boosters, and spent his later years as a "Gentleman Farmer", raising cattle on his Petersburg farm. He leaves to cherish his memory two sons: Tom Glynn and William E. Glynn, Jr., both of Huntsville, AL; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mildred Louise Glynn in Aug 1981. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
