Jerry Howard Nance

April 16, 1944 - March 14, 2012

Mr. Jerry Nance, age 67, husband of Ruby Nance, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, TN passed away in a tragic accident on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 7 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. A visitation will be Thursday, March 15th from 4-8PM at the funeral home and also on Friday from 4PM until the service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Maury County, he was the son of the late Cecil Nance (Father) and the late Dorothy (Runions) Nance (Mother). He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, including hunting and fishing. He was a big fan of John Wayne Westerns. His family stated that he was very caring, coached T-Ball, would give anyone the shirt off his back, loved to tell jokes and he loved to kid around. He also was a knife collector and loved dogs. He retired from Rhone Polaunc and later went to work over the past recent years at the Maury County Highway Department. In addition to his wife Ruby, he is survived by one daughter; Michelle Nance of Mt. Pleasant and one son; Kenneth (Lisa) Nance of Mt. Pleasant, two sisters; Vivian (Bill) Johnson of Mt. Pleasant and Libby (Russell) Colvett of Columbia along with one grandchild, Asa Nance. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the Maury County Highway Department.
