Bobby Cornelius

Mr. Bobby Ray Cornelius, age 60, and a resident of Summertown, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A Funeral Service for Bobby will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Love & Keith Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, December 13, from 4 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. A native of Wolf Springs, Alabama, he was the son of the late Marion Levi Cornelius and Martha Lane Cornelius. He loved the Lord and was affiliated with the Panoramic View Non-denominational Church. He served a short period of time with the United States Army. He was a very talented and dedicated self-employed mechanic. This very loving and caring family man cherished time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted son and cared for his daddy until he passed and continued loving care for his momma. He enjoyed fishing and you could always count on him listening to his Country Music as he worked diligently on vehicles. His kind heart and love will greatly be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his mother, he left behind to cherish his memory his son, Steven Ray Cornelius and his daughter Melissa Ann Cornelius of Ethridge, TN; his brothers: L.D. (Portia) Cornelius of Summertown and Gerry Cornelius of Culleoka; his sisters: Linda (Craig) Bobo of Summertown, Patricia Blair of Summertown, Shirley Graham of Columbia, Sandy Phillips of Sandy Hook, Joannie Shivley of Columbia, and Kathy Cornelius of Houma, LA; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers will include: Daniel Bobo, Bobby Joe Spiries, Anthony Pusser, Kenny Belew, Justin Asbury and Bo Malone.
