Billy Wotring

June 3, 1950 - August 5, 2012

Mr. Billy G. Wotring, age 62, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012 following an illness. The family will hold a Memorial Service on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Coupe officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Marshall Wotring (Mildred Askins). He had many interests in life and held many jobs but was most remembered for his heart for helping people after he became an ordained minister and served as a counselor for Place of Hope in Columbia, Tennessee. In addition to his love for people, he enjoyed watching movies. His family recalled that he had a large array of movies he had collected over the years. He enjoyed Nascar and loved to watch wrestling. He will greatly be missed by his family and friends but we know that he has reached his reward in heaven. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons: Jeremy (Mia Park) Wotring of Winter Park, FL and Joshua Wotring of Columbia, TN; and a brother, LeBrone Wotring of Elizabethtown, KY. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Odelene Pirtle Wotring. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
