Burial will follow in their family cemetery on Neeley Hollow Road in Columbia. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 from 4-8 PM and again one hour prior to the funeral. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on September 13, 1994, Tyler was the son of James Dean and Darlene Potts Wisdom. He began working for Impressions, an advertising manufacturing company, at age 14 and never missed a day of work. He was currently the production manager for the company owned by Carl and Pamela Mencer. Tyler loved fitness and nature. He spent endless hours caring for himself with fitness training and sports. He enjoyed playing softball and all other sports, but was happiest horseback riding, hunting, fishing, boating and attending dirt track races with his Dad. To Tylers nephew, Ashton, he was a hero. They both cherished their time together and shared a special bond that led Tyler to teaching Ashton to hunt, fish and play ball. When they werent together in those activities, you would find Tyler sitting in the stands and attending all of Ashtons baseball games. Their bond was beyond words. Tyler will be remembered as a fun-loving, all around great guy who loved life and had a passion for his family and friends. His zeal and dedication will be missed by those who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers: Jeremy (Michelle) Gray, Dakota (Misty) Gray; step-sister: Jada Wisdom; maternal grandmother: Marie Potts; nephews: Ashton Gray, Dakoda Runions; niece: Kally Runions; God parents: Carl and Pamela Mencer; God sisters: Greyson Mencer, Heather Mencer; aunts: Carolyn Barber, Mary Ruth (Vance) Owens, Chipper (Jeff) James, Glenda Latimer; uncles: Ronnie Potts and Rick Potts; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, JC Potts and Jimmy and Jewell Dean Wisdom; and uncle, James Barber. Cousins will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler's past and present teammates, athletic friends, former classmates, and very special friends. The family asks that memorial donations be made to Maury County Cal Ripken Youth Baseball, where Ashton continues to play, c/o Community First Bank. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
