Barry Michael Guarino

January 28, 1947 - November 7, 2012

Mr. Barry Michael Guarino, age 65, and a resident of Memphis, TN passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Memphis Methodist Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Jonathan Murphy and Marsha Chance officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will also visit with friends on Sunday from 11AM until the service hour at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Columbia, Barry was born on January 28, 1947. He was the son of Lois Davis Bryant and the late Leroy Guarino. He was a designer who worked for thirty-two years at Southern Hospitality Florist. He enjoyed working with flowers, watching funny movies, and being around people. In addition to his mother: Lois Bryant of Tishomingo, MS, he is also survived by a sister: Sue (John) Swim of Tuscumbia, AL; and two nephews: Jonathan Murphy and Scott Murphy. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his step-father: Lester Bryant and grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. John B. Davis. Pallbearers will be Peter Wade, Paul Lawrence, Jimmy Parrish, Johnny Davis, Terry Davis, Tim Thomas, and Dale White. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Hayward and Jimmy Route.
