Joe Ann Hammox

Mrs. Joe Ann Hammox, age 74 and a resident of Hampshire Pike in Columbia passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11AM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Wade West officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 3 " 7PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements.

Joe Ann was born on December 17, 1937 in Giles County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin and Vergie Moore Richardson. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ faith and previously worked for Lasko and later worked in housekeeping at Columbia Central High School.

She is survived by her son: Jerry Wayne Hammox of Columbia; brother: J.W. Richardson of Columbia; sister: Jean Cross of St. Joseph, MI; granddaughter: Ashley Hammox; and two great-grandchildren Azieanna Brown and RaAsia Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Wayne Hammox, Sr.
