Linda L. Joyce

February 26, 1945 - June 27, 2012

Ms. Linda L. Blalock Joyce, age 67 of Lewisburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 27 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after a courageous battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 6pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Lucas officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4pm until the 6pm service hour. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge and assisting the family with those arrangements. Linda was born in Columbia, TN February 26, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Enoch Ethridge and Mary Lucille Hines Blalock. Linda worked at Heil Quaker & Associated Pipeline, having been a hard worker all of her life. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary in Lewisburg. She loved being outdoors, including gardening, fishing, and boating. She was a lady who loved life. Her family recalls that she was a fighter and not much ever got her down. She was very energetic, outgoing, and fun to be around. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and consignment shops. Linda was a devoted, loving, caring mother, friend, and grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Joe Blalock, Mary Stewart, Charles Blalock, and Gayle Edwards. She is survived by her children: Phillip (Nikki) Joyce and Connie (Doug) Tull; a brother: Doug Blalock; four sisters: Helen Peters, Shirley Hedrick, Ellen Boshers, and Erma Blalock; four grandchildren: Tiffany Curtis, Justin Carter, Kaitlyn Joyce, and Wyatt Joyce; and a great-grandchild: Ivory Stinnett Curtis, all of Lewisburg.
