Franklin Fernandez

Mr. Franklin Fernandez, age 75, husband of Nancy Fernandez, and a resident of Ruben Road in Spring Hill passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at VA Medical Center in Nashville. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Brady Cooper officiating. The family will received friends for visitation from 12:00 until the service hour on Saturday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. Franklin was born on May 10, 1937 in Gunnison Colorado. He was the son of the late John Anthony and Margaret Sandoval Fernandez. He was a United States Air Force veteran and worked as an air traffic controller for the Department of Defense. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters: Lisa Fernandez of Columbia, Mary Fernandez (Gregg) Richardson of Panama City Beach, FL, Melissa Fernandez (Howard) Lester of Spring Hill, Sharon Fernandez (Scott) Stouder of Murfreesboro; two brothers: Robert (Liz) Fernandez of Freemont, CA, Raymond (Peggy) Fernandez of El Dorado Hills, CA; three sisters: Julia Strohl of Freemont, CA, Mae Fernandez of Salt Lake City, UT; Rosanna (Scott) Jeffrey of Riggins, ID; nine grandchildren: Frankie (Maggie) Fernandez, Sarah Fernandez, Lance Richardson, Macey Fernandez, Kyle Richardson, Carly Stouder, Emily Fernandez, Jacob Lester, Trevor Stouder; and one great-grandchild: Connor Fernandez. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Condolences may be sent to the family at the top of this page.
