Billy Lynn Chewning

Billy Lynn Chewning, age 59 of Lewisburg, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at his residence.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM inNashville National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United States Navy. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 2144 Fairfax Avenue, Nashville, TN 37212 or theMonroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, 2200 Children's Way, Nashville, TN 37232. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and is in charge of arrangements.

Billy was born in Oakland, CA and was the son of Dwight Chewning and the late Pauline Robinson Chewning Harris. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a welder by profession.

He is survived by two sons: Carson and Bennett Chewning of Columbia; his father: Dwight Chewning of Lewisburg; three brothers: Larry Chewning of CA, and Michael and David Chewning both of Lewisburg; and his wife: Rebecca Chewning.
