Tammy Annette Owens, age 30, and a resident of Gravel Hill Road in Columbia, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013. Memorial Services will be Friday, February 22, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. J.O. Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will also visit with friends on Friday from 5:00 until the service at 6:00 at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of arrangements. Tammy was born August 31, 1982 in Williamson County and was the daughter of the late Jerry Eugene Owens and Fay Leona Dick Owens. She was a Laborer for Carls Handyman Services in Columbia. She attended Theta Baptist Church. She loved her family and especially like spending time with her son and nephews. Tammy also enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard, and writing poetry. Along with her mother, Tammy is survived by son Damien Gage Potts and his father Chris Potts; sister, Pamela Faye (Steve) Owens; brothers: Kevin Dewayne Owens and Terry Eugene Owens; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; two uncles, and three aunts. Tammy is preceded in death by her father Jerry Eugene Owens and her grandparents.
