Kimberly "Kim" Dianne Galloway, age 42, and a resident of 7th Avenue in Columbia, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from the injuries of a fall in her home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Mike Dodrill officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4:00 " 8:00 PM and again one hour prior to service on Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. A native of Columbia, Kim was born on December 27, 1970. She was the daughter of Pam Mitchell Berry and the late James Jim Galloway. She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1989 and attended Middle Tennessee State University for several years. She was an account executive at Odyssey Hospice and previously worked for Guardian Hospice. She loved her family and was a protector over her younger siblings when they were children. She was a huge inspiration to her daughters Madison and Abbey. She loved her dog, Cooper, and her four cats. Her family described her as being a phenomenal cook who enjoyed reading, gardening, and home decorating and who especially liked polka dots. She adored all of her nieces and nephews and took part in all of their lives. She was a sweet lady who lived to help others. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends and will be remembered for touching the lives of the many people she met over the years. In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Madison Wilson of Columbia, Abbey Wilson of Columbia; step-father, Bobby Berry of Columbia; two sisters: Jenny Galloway (Miguel) Sierra of Columbia, Amy Galloway Burks of Columbia; two step-sisters: Kim Hedrick Ogburn of Ashville, NC, Sierra Pigg of Lawrenceburg; and two step-brothers: Kendall Hedrick of Murfreesboro, and Caleb Berry of Collinswood. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Isabell Sierra, Wesley Sierra, Chloe Sierra, Lucy Burks, Cambria Pigg, Jamison Pigg; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pearl Hill Nellums and Raymond and Sue Galloway. Pallbearers will be Chris Potts, Greg Ginn, Charlie Goatz, Guy Odom, Mike Butler, Mark Wells, and Christian Greene. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Vanderbilts trauma unit, co-workers of Odyssey Hospice, Columbia Central High School class of 1989, and lots of wonderful friends.
