Michael Dwayne Alley

Mr. Michael Dwayne Alley, 59, a resident of West 9th Street, died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital. Heritage Funeral Home announces that a visitation and memorial service for Mr. Alley will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at their home at 321 West 9th Street in Columbia. The Maury County native was the son of the late Malcolm and Bonnie Thomason Alley. He is married to Debbie Walton Finerty Alley. Mr. Alley was retired from CSX Railroad where he worked as a welder. He was a former member of West 7th Street Church of Christ, and currently a member of Servants Heart Church. He was an avid wood worker, enjoyed reading, and helping others. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Rhonda Finerty of Columbia; granddaughter, Kyra Ankrom of Columbia; sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Rice of Florida, and Connie Alley of Columbia; brothers, Malcolm (Paulette) Alley, Jr., his twin, Wayne (Kathy) Alley, Eugene (Tricia) Alley, and Clay Alley, all of Columbia; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Ruby Alley of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. Alley.
