Joan Kekich

February 2, 1928 - March 19, 2010

Mrs. Joan Kekich, 82, a resident of Phillip Street in Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at NHC Oakwood in Lewisburg following an extended illness. A Memorial Service will be held by the family on Saturday, April 3, 2010, at 2:00 PM, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess located at 1933 Nashville Highway, Lewisburg, TN. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native was the wife of the late Joseph Kekich who passed away in May of 1991. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Sauers and Gertrude Welch Sauers. Joan found her happiness in being a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a Jehovahs Witness who truly enjoyed studying her Bible and sharing her faith with others. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, and loved flowers and working in the garden. She is survived by her three sons: Daniel (Linda) Kekich of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Gary (Beth) Kekich of Columbia, Tennessee, and Ben Kekich of Lewisburg, Tennessee; a sister, Sue Nasca of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; a brother, Elmer Bud Sauers of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a granddaughter, Kimberly (Darren) Crawford of Nashville, Tennessee; a grandson, Micah Kekich of Lewisburg, Tennessee; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
