Mr. Steven Anthony Cedillo, 19, formerly of Canyon County, California, and a resident of Harris Street in Columbia, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Rev. Davis Chackaleckel and Deacon Price Keller officiating. Entombment will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, December 9, from 3:00 " 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Born in Van Nuys, California, he is the son of Joe A. and Joann Couch Cedillo. Steven was a 2009 graduate of C.H.O.I.C.E. in Hohenwald, Tennessee. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, hanging out with friends, golf, St. Louis Rams fan, jogging, playing soccer, and video games. He was a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Joe A. Cedillo, Jr. of Cookeville, TN; Mitchell E. Cedillo and Andrew J. Cedillo, both of Columbia, TN; a niece, Alysia Cedillo of Columbia, Tn; two nephews, Dayton Cates and Justen Cedillo, both of Columbia, TN; a special friend, Molly Carpenter of Columbia, TN; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alyssa Cedillo; paternal grandparents, Juan and Paula Cedillo; maternal grandparents, George and Josephine Couch. Active pallbearers will be Joe A. Cedillo, Jr., Mitchell E. Cedillo, Andrew J. Cedillo, Dayton Cates, Gilbert Ortega, George Couch, Michael Murillo, and Terry Farrow. Honorary guests will be Stanley Gately, John David Oakes, Clint Kelley, Bradley Gately, Saxton Ross, Paul Martinez,Christopher Aquino, Michael Ortega, Paul Martinez and Jason Couch. Memorials may be made to the Steven A. Cedillo Funeral Expense Fund, c/o Heritage Funeral Home, 609 Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, TN 38401.
