Lera Jean Pillow

Mrs. Lera Jean Brooks Pillow, 71, a resident of Hannaway Road in Columbia, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A memorial service for Mrs. Pillow will be conducted on Friday, November 14, 2008 at Solid Rock Family Worship Center, 2522 Keith Drive, Columbia, at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe F. Davis, Rev. Georgina Bearden, and Tra' Marqway Wynn officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Willie Lee and Gladys A. Crawford Brooks. She was a homemaker, former minister of Santa Fe Church of God, and a member of the Hannaway Street Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Garry Pillow of Columbia, TN; two devoted nieces, Cynthia J. (Charles) Wynn and Lottie (Rod) Mostella both of Columbia, TN, also nieces, Ruby Brooks of Columbia, TN and Tina (Marcus) Campbell of Nashville, TN; two nephews, Stephen Brooks of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Timothy Lee Brooks, Sr. of Kansas City, MO; several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; a special great niece of her namesake, Zae Lera Wynn. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie Paul Brooks, John L. Brooks, Hardy Eugene Brooks, and James Ellis Alderson. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.heritage-fhcs.com.
