Mrs. Eleanor Mary Wolanski Turner, 88, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, and a resident of Mahlon Moore Road in Spring Hill, Tennessee, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Williamson Medical Center. The funeral mass for Mrs. Turner will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Shelby Township, Michigan with Rev. Jerome Machlik officiating. Burial will be in the St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. The family will visit with friends, Friday, July 24, 2009 from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Funeral Home in Shelby Township, Michigan. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Stella Stanislawski Wolanski. She was the widow of Michael J. Turner. She was a homemaker and was retired from National Bank of Detroit, Operations Department. Mrs. Turner enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, reading, and watching the game show network. She was a communicant of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan, where she was a member of the Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by her children, Raymond (Colleen) Turner of Columbia, Tennessee, Patricia (Tony) Pollaccia of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Frances (Jamie) Howe of Spring Hill, Tennessee; grandchildren and their families, Ken (Dawn) Turner (Carys and Karli) of Huntsville, Alabama, Kymberly Turner (Amber and Danni) of Columbia, Tennessee, Kristian (Sarah) Turner (Aedan) of Columbia, Tennessee, Carrieann Pollaccia of Canton, Michigan, and Andrew Howe of Spring Hill, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Sokolowski. Pallbearers will be Ken Turner, Kris Turner, Andrew Howe, Art Kapucinski, Dan Sokolowski, Amber Turner, and Mike Walker. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th floor, New York, NY 10001.
