Mr. Fred Overturf, 66, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at his residence in the Kedron Community. A memorial service for Mr. Overturf will be conducted Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Overturf officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Overturf was born in Steele, Missouri to the late Everet Elsworth (Nigg) Overturf and the late Mary Mable Mitchie Overturf. He is survived by his life-long companion, Maxine King. He was retired from General Motors, Corvette Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and watching wrestling. In addition to his companion, he is survived by his daughter, Carlene Jeanette (fiance, Earnest Frye, Jr.) Overturf of Osceola, AR; a son, Randall Scott Overturf of Boiling Springs, SC; a grand-daughter, Sara Michelle Overturf and her mother, Cindy Overturf of Boiling Springs, SC; four sisters, Martha Lavina Sissy Flood of Steele, MO; Marie Elizabeth (Howard) Dennis of Denton, MO; Agnes Lucille (Chester) Richardson of Deering, MO; Stellveta (Chester) Bradford of Steele, MO; a sister-in-law, Christine Overturf of Denton, MO; a brother, Carroll Overturf of Pottsville, AR. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Overturf, Mary Frances Overturf, Bonita Overturf; three brothers, Walter (Bigboy) Lee Overturf, William Everett (Buddy) Overturf, and Henry (Boob) Overturf.
