Wesley McConnell

Mr. Wesley McConnell age 84, and a resident of Bedford Place in Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April, 1, 2011 at his residence in Columbia. A memorial service for Mr. McConnell will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 6:00PM in the Hunter Room at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 4-6:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Mr. McConnell was a native of Pontiac, MI and retired from GMC after thirty years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II and the Korean War. Mr. McConnell was a quiet man who had his own way of doing things. His yard was his kingdom and he spent many happy hours working there. Mr. McConnell is survived by his son, David Wesley (Donna) McConnell of Columbia, TN; his daughter, Debra Jean (Bob) Jenkins of Auburndale, FL; grandchildren, Erin McConnell of Memphis, TN and Dawn McConnell of Columbia, TN; his great grandson, Matthew McConnell of Columbia, TN; and his twin brother, William McConnell of Lake Orion, MI. He was preceded in death by parents, Claude McConnell and Daisy Ryan McConnell and brother, Albert McConnell.
