Mr. Wallace J. King, Age 68 of Grant, TN., died Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville, TN. Funeral Services for Mr. King will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., with Bro. Dickie Johnson and Bro. Floyd Massey, officiating. The family will visit friends at the Gordonsville Chapel on Sunday from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until service time. A graveside service will be held on Monday afternoon for local friends & family at 3:00 P.M. in the Santa Fe Cemetery with Keith Baker officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting with the local arrangements. Mr. King was born April 12, 1943 in Hickman County, the son of the late Eula Kelley and Jeff David King. Two Brothers and a Sister preceded him in death: Jeff David King, Jr., Larry Wayne King and Velma Jean McDonald. He attended Water Valley & Santa Fe High School. He worked at Phelps & Dodge Aluminum Plant in Columbia, The Stouffer Plant in Mt. Pleasant, and Crain Construction in Nashville. He was married to Sue Nolan on April 28, 1990 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church and was a member of Rose Croix Chapter No. 95, O.E.S. in Lebanon and New Middleton Lodge No. 249, F. & A.M. Mr. King is survived by his wife, Sue King of Grant, Son, Wallace J. (Jennifer) King, II. of Carthage, TN. Step Daughters: Kimberly (Doug) Cote of Fayetteville, NC and Kelly Sharp of Ft. Wayne, IN. Grandchildren: Seger Sherp, Faith Cote, Lydia Cote, Luc Cote, Jacob King and Tyler King. An unborn Great Granddaughter. Brother, Whylan King of Lyles, and a Sister, Clara (Dorris) Givens of Dickson.
