Sherry Lynn McNeese

July 11, 1958 - July 4, 2011

Mrs. Sherry Lynn McNeese, age 52, wife of Donnie Chatman, and a resident of Chestnut Drive in Columbia passed away at Hickman Community Hospital in Centerville, TN on Monday, July 4, 2011. The family will hold a private memorial service for Sherry at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. A native of Columbia, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Willard McNeese and Martha Cummings Sullivan. Sherry truly enjoyed life. She loved to ride motorcycles, enjoyed camping, fishing, and white water rafting. But there was something that she enjoyed even more that these activities and that was spending time with her grandson Christopher. Her kindness and companionship will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. In addition to her husband and mother, she left behind to cherish her memory two sons: George Allen Westland III of Columbia, TN and Timothy Robert Demastus of Columbia, TN; one brother, James Anthony (Faye) McNeese, of Columbia, TN; one sister, Cynthia Dawn (Richard) Bramlett of Columbia, TN; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Cummings of Columbia, TN; her grandson, Christopher Blake Demastus of DeCalb, IL; granddaughter, Morgan Winter; two uncles: Jerry McNeese and Myron both of Columbia, TN; nephews and nieces: Jimmy Bramlett, Kim Bramlett, Crystal Ramos, and Jennifer McNeese, great nephews and great nieces: Anael Ramos, Ana Ramos, Joey McNeese, Jaylan McNeese, and Jacob McNeese. In addition to her father, Sherry was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Sara McNeese; maternal grandfather, Willie L. Cummings; three brothers: Michael Lee McNeese, Richard Dewayne Clark, Jr. and Franklin Anderson Clark; one sister, Jennifer Carol Lee Himes, her step-father, James Floyd Sullivan; two uncles: Claude McNeese and James Cummings.
