Michele Burley Casler, age 53, and a resident of Wellington Drive in Columbia, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at her home. Visitation will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday with the Memorial Service following at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements. A native of Lansing, Michigan, Michele was born to the late R. Lawrence Romanek and Sandra A. (Kuster) Ames. Michele was of the Catholic faith and retired from GM where she worked at the Saturn Plant. She loved to listen to Elvis Presley and ride around with her puppy Goose. She was a kind, generous, strong, happy go lucky, sometimes outspoken, amazing woman who would do anything for anyone. She was also a wonderful daughter, the best mother anyone could ask for, and a great friend to many. In addition to her mother, she is survived by four daughters: Jennifer (Price) Davenport of Lynnville, TN, Marie Burley of Hohenwald, TN, Stephanie Burley of Columbia, TN, and Tiffanie Burley of Giles County, TN ; and two brothers: Michael Romanek of Lynnville, TN and Stephen Romanek of Florida. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Chrishele, Christian, Lillian, Ayden, and Emily; two nephews: Michael J. Romanek of MI and Stephen Romanek of TX; a niece: Sarah Hackney of MI; a couple special friends: Sherry Dexter and Karen Pavey; and her former husband: Bruce Burley.
